SIDCO, Government owned Public Sector Corporation, was founded in Kerala in November 1975 for the development and promotion of small scale industries. God's own nation of Kerala has a wealth of natural resources that are necessary for the establishment of industrial units, and SIDCO is taking the initiative to do so., Kerala SIDCO as a Total Solution Provider' for Small Scale Sector offers all facilities and assistance to set up Small Scale Units across Kerala. SIDCO provides all the resources and support needed to establish small scale businesses throughout Kerala. The corporation provides important support to the state's Industrial sector, including consultancy services at the project's outset for the Identification of Industrial sites, commissioning of projects, provision of Infrastructure, distribution of necessary raw materials, marketing of MSME products, undertaking civil and electrical works, etc. Kerala SIDCO manages the necessary requirements of any project expertly. Through its diversified activities and new working methods, Kerala SIDCO is now on the road to profitability and is providing basic amenities and marketing security to manufacturers and young entrepreneurs. SIDCO is currently diversifying its operations to broaden its scope and give Kerala's MSME sector a new perspective.
For an effective functioning of Raw Material division we have District level offices in all the 14 districts in our State. Besides, we have been supplying various materials to the LSGDs, Govt. Departments, P.S.U's etc. Kerala SIDCO functions as per the guidelines issued by the Govt. OF Kerala. We are supplying Iron & Steel Material, Cement, Bitumen, Roofing Sheets, Paints, Lubricants, Barbed wires and other raw material and building materials to various Public Sector undertakings and local bodies. We feel proud to be associated with Central Government PSUs like CPCL, IOCL, HPCL, MRPL, BPCL and taking part in the infrastructural development of our state.
Through Marketing Division Kerala SIDCO provides marketing support to Micro Small and Medium Enterprises functioning in the State. Across Kerala there are 17 sub offices under this Division In addition to this around 250 MSME units empanelled with SIDCO for indirect marketing assistance and around 400 units registered with SIDCO for direct marketing assistance. We have innovated our organization to meet requirements in the segments of steel/wooden furniture, office interior furnishing/modular seating arrangements etc.
SIDCO has nine production units spread all over Kerala. SIDCO directly manufactures wooden/ steel, high precision works, fabrication works through these Production Units. Based on the function these production units are classified into three (high precision units, Fabrication units, Wood Working Units). The main customers are VSSC, ISRO, BRAHMOS, Government Departments, Public Sector undertakings and other Government/Quasi Government agencies and general public. The Government Departments and agencies can purchase articles from our production units without tender formalities.

The construction Division is one of the major divisions of SIDCO which is having a number of experienced Engineers. There is a network of Engineers throughout the state. The Construction Division has been undertaking Civil/Electrical works of various Departments on centage basis in addition to the own works of the organization. SIDCO offers a package of integrated services for Soil Investigation, Surveying, Execution and Management of various types of Civil/Electrical works. Undertakes the Construction of Multistoried Industrial Galas, other public works of the concerned Department and other Government Undertakings. Our major clients are LSGD, DPI, Department of Industries & Commerce, Department of SC&ST, Department of Tourism etc. Projects about Rs.138 crore are in various stages of Planning and Execution and which will be completed within 18 months in all respects.

Since last 10 years we have been marketed various products successfully to various Government Departments and PSU’s. SIDCO is also entrusted as the nodal agency for the fixing of prices for electrical items-one among the reserved items for MSME Sector. Around 250 MSME units empanelled with SIDCO for indirect marketing assistance and around 400 units registered with SIDCO for direct marketing assistance.We have innovated our organization to meet your requirements in the segments of steel/wooden furniture, office interior furnishing/modular seating arrangements etc.

These estates are the havens of numerous SSIs, where SIDCO provides common infrastructural facilities for all the units. Government has devised Industrial Park as a tool for developing industries in our State for which SIDCO is accepted as a Nodal Agency for constructing such Parks. Government of Kerala envisages atleast one IP in each assembly constituency as a measure for employment generation. In this venture, SIDCO has completed 7 Industrial Parks that host 218 Industrial Units with a direct employment opportunity for nearly 1000 people.

This division aims to distribute scarce raw materials to small scale industries. As low cost raw materials is inevitable to sustain the MSME in the field owing to cutthroat competition, SIDCO sacrificing its margin while supplying essential raw materials at the lowest possible cost. SIDCO seeks to widen its horizon by working in tandem with other central and state public sector undertaking for the best help of MSME Sector. The major items handled by the Raw Material division are paraffin wax, wire rode, Iron and steel, cement, G.I. pipes, Aluminum sheets, Titanium dioxide, Petroleum products especially Bitumen, paints , Lubes, Agricultural implements and tools.

Our Civil Construction Division that undertakes civil construction works, caters the needs for various PSU’s, Tourism Department, various Government Departments, Industrial Estates / Mini Industrial Estates etc. The Division is at the behest of a Chief Engineer whose mission is assisted and supplemented by a group of experienced civil and Electrical engineers. The Division offers a host of integrated services-Structural design, preparation of detailed estimate, surveying, execution and management of civil and electrical works.
IT&TC Division
The division, now conferred as a Total Solution Provider of Government of Kerala undertakes all gamuts of activities related to the arena of information technology. We are fully equipped to execute any IT & Telecom implementation as per Government Guidelines. Through our business partners we are capable of providing any IT solutions which the clients demand and with the wide repertories of qualified service personnel we can provided on call support for all over future clients located through the length and breadth of the State.
